Rod Fulton Bloodstock
Roddy Fulton moved into the Bloodstock Industry as a self employed Agent in 2001 on the suggestion of prominent trainer Michael Pitman who felt there was an opening in the South Island of New Zealand for someone with my background as I had successfully imported, bred and raced thoroughbreds in New Zealand. Since the 70's I have spent many hours studying pedigree which has resulted in my developing a system of selection based on pedigree first and foremost before conformation and overall type are even considered. In conjunction with NZ cricketer John Wright and lawyer Geoff Beadel I imported the mares Formcast (by Reform) and Odeon (by Sharpen Up) from England in the late 70's before it was fashionable to do so. They have both gone on to establish successful families in this country.
I am a member of the NZ Thoroughbred Breeders Association, Canterbury/Westland Racing Owners Association and Steward of the North Canterbury Racing Club.

A recommended mating. Yearling colt by Electronic Zone ex Sunset Princess (Lord Ballina) from the very successful Spi family. Owned by David Woodhouse. The photo was taken on his property in the Wairarapa in 2010.
